In a sensational display of the broad support surrounding his campaign for Chair of the California Democratic Party, today California Democratic Party Vice Chair Eric C. Bauman received the highly coveted endorsement from former United States Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis, who currently serves as a Los Angeles County Supervisor.
Solis, who also previously served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, is widely recognized as one of the most influential and respected women leaders in California. In addition to being the first Latina to serve in a U.S. Presidential Cabinet, she was the first Latina to serve in the California State Senate, and the first female recipient of the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award.
She released her endorsement of Bauman by stating:
“Eric Bauman is a strong voice of moral authority on issues from immigration reform to healthcare to workers’ rights. Whenever our communities have needed an ally, Eric has always been right there fighting with us. It is my honor to endorse Eric Bauman for California Democratic Party Chair.”
